Duration – Half Day

Aim
Behaviour-based safety is about identifying management policies and practices that influence workforce behaviour. Recognising perceptions and attitudes that influence behaviour provides us with an opportunity to reduce at-risk behaviours by challenging the unsafe attitudes that underpin them. This course will help the delegate to understand behaviour-based safety and introduce techniques that they can use when carrying out their day-to-day duties and responsibilities.

Objectives
On completion of this course, delegates should have a clear understanding of how to:
• Define behaviour and identify the scope and purpose of a behaviour-based safety program
• Distinguish between the roles and responsibilities of the supervisor and employee
• Identify factors that cause incidents (environmental and personal factors)

Who should attend?
This course is ideal for anyone who requires a basic knowledge of Behavioural Safety in the workplace from the labour work-force to senior management level.
