This course teaches you how to test portable appliances. You’ll learn the electrical theory needed to understand portable appliance testing as well as the practical knowledge to carry out visual and practical inspection. Throughout the course you’ll use the ‘Code of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment’ to gain a full awareness of what’s required to be a portable appliance tester.
