This training course provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to support people who are at vulnerable to the use of drugs, substances or alcohol.

The course considers different types of drugs and substances and the possible effects, the reasons why people may choose to abuse substances and considers the physical, mental, emotional and financial effects this may have on people.

People attending this training will be provided with a guide to drug and substance types and effects to accompany this course.

The aims of this training course are for learners to;

• Understand types of drug, substance and alcohol abuse
• Understand how people who are drug, substance and alcohol abusers may find if challenging to talk about their issues and how you can support people to express their views
• Understand how to provide support to people who are drug, substance and alcohol abusers and where to gain further advice and support

This half day awareness course can be delivered in your workplace or at our training suites near Stockport.
