Recruiting new staff isn’t about taking on someone who ‘interviews well’. It’s about seeing how they will fit in with the team & the organisations culture as well as the skills, knowledge, experience & behaviours that they can bring to that organisation. It’s also about getting the right person who, will not only fill the gap but, will develop & enhance that job role in the future. If we just replace someone who has left with a similar person, we stand still – and that means disaster for the organisation in the long term.
