Description and objective: The basics of HAZOP procedure are explained to both newcomers to the technique and those having limited experience through study team exposure. The course uses real situation case study material to illustrate the HAZOP technique and covers both continuous and batch process systems. There is also an introduction to the application of HAZOP to computer-controlled systems and 'non-process' scenarios. Extensive use is made of a variety of examples covering numerous processes at worldwide locations.
