Description and objective: Acoustics is a well-established science and the acoustics of spaces can now be modelled and measured. Legislation now exists which governs the acoustic properties of certain spaces. This course will enable those working in these areas to have a better understanding of the underlying science. This course aims to provide a theoretical and practical introduction to the acoustics of rooms, as well as how measurements can be made. European acoustic standards will be introduced and discussed.
