Description and objective: Food hygiene law requires employers to train employees that have food supervisory duties to ensure that they work with food in a hygienic manner that prevents contamination and protects consumers from food poisoning. The CIEH Intermediate Certificate in Food Safety will help employers comply with legislation which requires supervisors to be 'trained commensurate with their work activities'.
