Description and objective: COURSE OUTLINE - This course is intended to teach delegates:
How to write efficient and understandable programs in the 'C' programming language.
To be aware of the problem of program portability and efficiency, together with some of the techniques used to improve this.
PARTICIPANTS
Programmers and software engineers who require the efficiency of a relatively 'low level' language and the portability of a 'high level' language.
PREREQUISITES
Some practical programming experience, preferably including the use of a block structured language e.g. Pascal, Coral 66,etc. would be an advantage, though is not essential.
OBJECTIVES
On completion of the course the delegate will be able to:
Demonstrate an understanding of the syntax of the language.
Write, compile and run C programs.
Identify the problems of portability.
Make use of the structured programming facilities in C.
Read and write complex data structure descriptions.
Use the ANSI C standard as applicable.
