Description and objective: This hands-on course provides in-depth coverage of Perl’s more advanced features. You develop powerful scripts using object-orientation, subroutines, extended regular expressions and external modules. You also learn to write scripts that communicate across networks. You learn how to create hashes, lists, trees and other complex data structures using references, achieve data persistence using Data::Dumper and other modules, and produce graphical user interfaces (GUIs) with Perl/Tk.
