Description and objective: COURSE OUTLINE
This intensive course is intended to give delegates a practical capability in the development of real-time computer based systems using Structured Analysis and Structured Design (SASD). The course covers the modelling tools and techniques advocated in Yourdon Structured Method (YSM).
An important feature of the course is the inclusion of a real-time system development exercise covering both Analysis, Design, and Testing, to ensure delegates achieve a practical ability in the use of the method.
PARTICIPANTS
Programmers and software engineers
PREREQUISITES
The course is intended for software development staff at both junior and senior level, who are involved in the development of real-time systems.
OBJECTIVES
On completion of the course, delegates will be able to:
Describe the general purpose and concepts of SASD for real-time system development.
Explain and use the graphical and textual modelling tools used in structured analysis and structured design.
Explain and use the process of Structured Analysis to model the environment and behaviour of a real-time system.
Explain and use the process of Structured Design to model the processor environment, the software environment and the code organisation of a real-time system.
Identify and use the heuristics available to improve the quality of the Analysis, Design, and Testing.
All courses are delivered on the customer's site and are able to be tailored to meet the ustomer's needs.
