Description and objective: This course is designed to help people improve their basic numeracy skills, and is intended for learners who have never gained a formal qualification or have not practiced maths for a long time. The course assumes no previous knowledge and takes the learner to the point where conventional courses, such as GCSEs or NVQs can be tackled with confidence. The course is supported by a workbook which may be used for practice away from the computer, for revision or as a pre-test to find the appropriate point of entry into the course.
