Description and objective: Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) has been described as the ‘art of effective communication’ and has tremendous importance for anyone involved in training. It should therefore form a priority in terms of personal development for trainers.

Since the 1970s, when Richard Bandler and John Grinder came up with the concept of NLP, the world has been looking for ways to maximize the impact of our communication. Nowhere is this more vital than in the training arena where trainers have a limited time to have maximum impact on their delegates.

This course breaks down the mystique of NLP into usable chunks that can be easily applied to any training situation. Thus, delegates receive a whole host of innovative ways to maximize their training impact based on this fascinating theory. This is of particular relevance to anyone who is interested in understanding some of the basic principles on which Accelerated Learning is founded.

The main objectives of the course are:

·Understanding the relationship between emotional state and learning.
·Analyzing sensory preference in learning and acknowledging the needs of each type of learner.
·Using anchors and metaphor effectively to aid memory retention.
·Understanding the physical, emotional and cognitive needs of delegates.

The word ‘Neos’ is Greek for new, unique or novel. This explains our ethos of training and development. As specialists in the provision of training for trainers, all Neos Learning courses use a combination of Accelerated Learning and other Brain-Based learning techniques. This means that our delegates receive the current theories of learning and development in a style that exhibits ‘best practice’ training.

The course is designed for a maximum of 15 delegates and assumes that the delegates have some working experience of training and development within organisations.
