Description and objective: Most trainers are faced, at some time, with the task of running facilitated sessions. However, training and facilitation are different disciplines with a different skillset requirement. The challenge, in most cases, is how to make such sessions creative, fun and enjoyable. This course addresses this challenge and provides practical ideas for immediate use.
The use of groups and teams in organisation has rapidly risen over the past decade and, as a result of this, the demand for facilitation has also increased. However, most facilitation practices are dull, predictable affairs. Ultimately, this means that the outcome from such sessions do not fully reach their potential.
This course introduces facilitation methods based on a combination of Accelerated Learning and creative design principles. Through this approach, delegates will encounter a series of principles and processes that they can apply to any facilitation situation. The main focus of the course is to ensure delegates both understand and are able to apply the course content immediately.
Objectives of the course focus on these main areas:
·How do you set-up the facilitation arena?
·How do you incorporate Multiple Intelligence theory into facilitation?
·What different styles of creative facilitation are available to you?
·How do you use creative processes with the constraints of limited space and time?
·How do you design creative facilitation sessions?
