This 4 hour course will give you knowledge and understanding of adult’s safeguarding issues within your current role and how to appropriately deal with adult’s safeguarding within your organisation

Learning objectives for the course

• Understanding the aims of safeguarding and the importance of preventing abuse or neglect
• Know how to apply the six principles of safeguarding
• Understand the purpose and functioning of Making Safeguarding Personal
• Know what is meant by abuse and the type of abuse that people can suffer from
• Understand the signs and indicators of abuse
• Know how to respond to known or suspected abuse
• Know the appropriate policies and procedures for abuse, both within your organisation and in a multi-agency approach
