Workshop Title: Coaching Skills for Managers
Designed For: All those who manage staff who wish to achieve improved levels of engagement and productivity through effective guidance.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the workshop learners will be able to gain specialist knowledge and understanding of the coaching process which will enable you to help team members reach their full potential, specifically you will be able to:

• Understand their role as workplace coach
• Understand the key steps to effective coaching
• Have identified and practised the key skills
• Have produced a Personal Learning Log

• Agreement of contents, objectives, style and learning logs
• What is Coaching and how it differs from other improvement tools
• The role of the workplace coach
• The benefits of coaching – coach, learner, organisation
• Coaching and the Bostik Way
• The 5 Step Model for successful coaching
• Opportunities to coach
• Agreeing improvement outcomes
• The coaching contract
• Recognising and using the key skills
• Understanding learning styles
• Choosing your coaching style to match the situation and learner
• Identifying future Coaching requirements
• Essential skills practice
• Completion of Personal Action Plans
• Workshop Review and Evaluation

Duration: 1 x full day (09:00 – 16:30), 1 x half day (09:00 – 13:00)
Delegate numbers: Maximum of 8
Pre-workshop preparation: Prior to day 1 delegates should identify their key learning requirements. For day 2, delegates should come prepared to deliver a 10 minute work based coaching session.
Post workshop activity: Book an appointment with your manager to discuss the learning points from your Personal Action Plan.
