This training course provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to identify with and understand the issues affecting young people and adults with mental health problems and how to support them.
The course provides an understanding of the key concepts of mental wellbeing, mental health and mental health promotion and focuses on the factors that can influence mental wellbeing in different settings, considering formal and informal methods of support.
The aims of this training course are for learners to;
• Understand the issues affecting young people with mental health problems
• Understand how to support young people with mental health problems
• Know about the statutory and legal frameworks in relation to young people with mental health problems
