Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder which can affect people who have been involved in, or witnessed a dangerous event.
The way in which Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder affects people varies, and includes signs such as experiencing flashbacks to the event, dreaming about the event, emotional confusion, guilt, anxiety and tension.

This training course provides learners with the skills and knowledge to provide support to people who experience the disorder and identify with the possible causes and affects.

The aims of this training course are for learners to;

• Understand what Post-Traumatic stress Disorder (PTSD) is
• Understand how PTSD can affect different people in different ways
• Understand current knowledge and attitudes towards PTSD
• Understand the interventions which can provide effective support
