This course covers the fundementals of video production and editing for online content, and offers the opportunity to receive advice on how to create a suitable video for promotional, marketing or training use.

Suitable for participants of beginner/ intermediary level, this is an ideal course for employees of SME’s and or anyone involved with training, marketing or PR that wishes to create and utilise online videos for business.

Participants will explore the different factors, which can contribute to shooting a quality and professional product ready for publishing on the web. From storyboarding, choosing the right location and lighting to exploring web formats & codecs and editing your footage, this course will give you all the information you need to be able to confidently produce and edit online video on any budget. There will also be the chance for group discussion and 1:1 time with the course leader, Mr J. Elson.

No equipment is necessary as everything will be provided. However participants are encouraged to bring any footage previously recorded that they wish to work on as part of the course.
The software editing package that will be used are Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, part of the Adobe Production Suite. Training will also be provided on the use of HitFilm, which is a freeware software editing package.

The course leader is Mr Jamie Elson, Head of Film and Media at Rugby School. Jamie has an extensive knowledge of video production with a background in TV sports production, working for various premier league clubs as well as other televised productions. He has been teaching for ten years and his trainees have gone onto work successfully in the industry as well as win film making awards.

This course is designed and run by Rugby School. It will be held from 10.00am to 3.45pm on Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd November 2017 at the Media Centre, Rugby School, CV22 5DZ.

The fee per delegate is £500 +VAT for the 2 day course and includes refreshments.
